Dayawati Modi Public School (D.M.P.S) is an innovative, vibrant, creative, and energetic organization where each one of us strives through our practice to wholeheartedly serve children and make every learning moment joyful, effective, and meaningful one.
The Opportunity
Matching their vision that all children inherently love to learn. Learning is defined by the child’s inherent desire to learn, inspired by a philosophy of Love, Joy, and Faith in the child as a learner, and guided by educational research and knowledge development, the Presentation People team strove to design and implement a learning environment for students.
The Modi Group Auditorium needed a consistent audio experience for every seat, especially in under-balcony sections that suffered from limited sight lines and uneven coverage. Stage lighting servicing every application and diversity from a play rendition to a lecture was needed to give the audiences that wow factor.
The Solution
The solution was designed meticulously, and multiple Point-Source speakers were provisioned to provide natural and clear audio across the auditorium. The audio team was won over by the JBL AM7215/95, a High Power 2-Way Loudspeaker with 1 x 15″ LF & a Rotatable Horn. The AM7215 speakers are high power, lightweight, 2-way, full-range loudspeaker systems comprised of the JBL Differential Drive dual voice coil and dual magnetic gap low-frequency driver and 2432H high-frequency exit & a voice-coil compression driver. The large format Progressive Transition waveguide provides excellent coverage.
For the delay and surround, JBL AC18/26 speakers were used. These are Compact 2-way Loudspeakers with 2 x 8” LF loudspeakers, with high output, 2-way loudspeaker systems combining flexibility with high fidelity.
The punch was provided by JBL ASB6115, a High-Power Single 15″ Subwoofer. The ASB6115 is a high power, lightweight front-loaded vented subwoofer enclosure housing JBL’s 2265H-1 Differential Drive® dual voice coil dual gap 15″ woofer. This woofer features a neodymium magnet and an ultra-robust cone for extra-long life.
Stage lighting was done using Beams, Profile Lights, Spotlights, Fresnel Lights, Cyclorama Lights, Moving Heads, all LED based. All the lights were configured using a lighting dimmer, to give the wow factor to the audience.
AN 8000 ANSI lumen high-performance Ultra HD Laser Projector was installed with the projection on a 371” wide projection screen, giving the same viewing experience from the first to the last viewer.
The Final Impression
The new infrastructure designed & implemented by Presentation People will have a considerable impact on the staff & students’ capability to utilize technology to match and serve their needs for any collaboration, learning, and cultural scenarios.
The under-balcony experience for the audiences for audio & visual clarity & coverage achieved, the goal was met.
